The New Zealand Diploma in Business (Accounting) (Level 5) provides students with a broad understanding of business management including accounting. Students will learn to analyse business environments, apply principles of operations, accounting, marketing, human resources, and risk management. The programme equips students to record and process financial transactions, prepare financial statements, apply tax rules, communicate financial information, and evaluate business risk. It includes compulsory business courses and accounting strand courses. The diploma also integrates knowledge of te Tiriti o Waitangi and promotes professional and ethical practices. Completion provides a pathway to enter the second year of the Bachelor of Applied Management. The programme is delivered online with regional support, includes rolling intake, and is not open to international students (except inquiries for fees). Entry requires minimum age 16, basic English skills, and NCEA Level 2 or equivalent or special admission.
