Apply Tikanga Māori in Care
Incorporate Tikanga Māori principles into holistic patient care and community health practices.
Undertake and Evaluate Clinical Practice
Complete and critically reflect on a minimum 300-hour supervised clinical placement, developing transferable practical skills.
Deliver Professional Healthcare Support
Graduates will be able to provide professional healthcare support to diverse populations, especially in aged care, disability, and community settings in accordance with Māori principles and current best practices.

This diploma prepares students to deliver professional, person-centered healthcare and support in aged care, disability, and community settings, following Tikanga Māori principles. The program includes 300 hours of clinical placement, practical skills training, and gives graduates the expertise to work in various allied health roles across public, private, and non-profit sectors. The program is offered across AGI Education's Auckland City, Manukau, and Christchurch campuses.

What you need to know first
Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the programme.
Recommended to hold: Certificate in Healthcare Level 3 OR NCEA Level 2 or 3 OR other equivalent education OR appropriate work experience.
