Blended study
This is a mix of online learning & face-to-face sessions
It will take a total of 21 months

Work collaboratively with members of a multi-disciplinary team and the whānau/family to support the health and wellbeing of people with complex needs.

Support registered health professionals by carrying out delegated clinical tasks in health or wellbeing settings.

Apply knowledge of health or wellbeing conditions and organisational processes to provide culturally appropriate, person-centred/relationship-centred care.
The Apprenticeship in Advanced Care and Support (Level 4) is a Careerforce-delivered programme that develops staff to provide advanced, person-centred or relationship-centred care for individuals with complex needs. This work-based qualification is suitable for experienced support workers, healthcare assistants, or team leaders wishing to enhance their leadership and clinical support capabilities, under the direction of a registered health professional. It features seven focus areas and is supported by online learning and Careerforce apprenticeship advisors.
What you need to know first
New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3), or an equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in the health and wellbeing sectors. Must be employed and supported by employer.
