Recognise characteristics, symptoms, and indicators that require action in relation to common physical health conditions.

Identify factors, impacts, and barriers contributing to health inequities and know how to support people to access care.
Designed for support workers in mental health, addiction, residential, disability, and aged care settings, this micro-credential recognises the skills required to identify early physical health problems in people experiencing mental health or addiction challenges, and guides the support worker in knowing how to respond appropriately within their role. Graduates will be able to identify health inequities, recognise signs and symptoms needing response, develop and implement wellbeing plans, and support clients' physical health journeys while working within their scope of responsibility.
