This course requires 30 hours per week

Apply principles of person-centred care to support individuals across a range of health and wellbeing contexts.

Identify signs of vulnerability and abuse and know appropriate responses and referral procedures.

Work within relevant legal and ethical frameworks, including Te Tiriti o Waitangi, to deliver safe and respectful care.
The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) recognises the skills and knowledge required to provide person-centred support for individuals within the health and wellbeing sector. Graduates are prepared for employment in a range of contexts, including aged care, disability support, and health assistance. The programme develops transferable skills and knowledge valued across the sector, including practical health assistance skills, knowledge of legal and ethical frameworks, infection control, advocacy, and an understanding of various support needs.
