This flexible Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) programme is designed for those already working or volunteering with an ambulance service at Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level or above. It blends online learning with compulsory block courses and workplace-relevant simulations. The degree covers science, pharmacology, New Zealand health system, paramedic practice, legal and ethical issues, clinical reasoning, research skills, and leadership. Successful completion prepares graduates for registration as a Paramedic.
