This full-time, 17-week certificate programme prepares students with knowledge and practical skills to work as health assistants in hospitals, retirement villages, and similar care settings. The blended delivery includes both face-to-face and online learning, alongside supervised work experience placements. Learners build core communication, professional, and health care skills required in support roles across the health sector.
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 1 or an equivalent qualification or relevant work experience
Evidence of suitability based on interview, health screening, safety check and referee reports
