The Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Wintec (Te Pūkenga) is a four-year, Level 7 degree designed for those committed to improving health outcomes through contemporary physiotherapy practice, with special emphasis on Māori and Pacific health and rural communities. The programme provides students with broad foundational knowledge in biomedical and social sciences, physiotherapy theory, cultural safety, and professional practice. Students learn through a blended model—block courses, marae stays, online learning, and extensive clinical placements—preparing them for work across diverse settings such as hospitals, community centres, private clinics, and sports environments. Graduates are eligible for registration and will be equipped to deliver physiotherapy services across the lifespan, including specialist and research areas.
