This Bachelor’s programme delivers the analytical, conceptual, and practical skills to become an Architectural Technologist or Interior Architect, or to continue on to a Master of Architecture (Professional) for Registered Architect status in Aotearoa New Zealand. You will study architectural design theory, CAD, building science, and communication, with opportunities to specialise through electives and gain real-world experience via a 480-hour work placement. The programme combines core skills in drawing, construction, and documentation with an awareness of designers' social responsibilities. Study full-time over three years or part-time over five years at Otago Polytechnic’s Dunedin campus.

Effectively present and document architectural solutions through drawings, written documents, models, and digital media.
NCEA Level 3 with 14 credits at Level 3 in each of three NZQA-approved university entrance subjects
10 Level 2 or higher literacy credits (5 reading, 5 writing)
10 Level 1 or higher numeracy credits
Portfolio and cover letter demonstrating design, graphic and/or art skills
Alternative entry through evidence of literacy, numeracy or relevant work/life experience
Applicants may be interviewed for clarification or special admission
