This full-time, two-year diploma prepares students for employment as architectural technicians, providing practical skills and in-depth knowledge of design, construction, and building legislation. You'll learn to communicate effectively in the industry, master contract administration, analyse building materials and structures, and create technical and detailed architectural designs. The qualification ensures your working drawings and documentation align with NZ standards and codes, readying you for a variety of roles in the architecture and construction sectors.

Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting

This course requires 33 hours per week

Prepare and evaluate progress claims, adjust sums, present post-contract documentation, and apply communication and admin processes for construction phases.
A minimum of 12 Credits in Mathematics Level 1
A minimum of 12 Literacy Credits at NCEA Level 1
Or a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above
Or a recognised equivalent
