It will take a total of 43 weeks

Students will gain the knowledge and skills to study a new specialised area within designed environments, such as interior or landscape architecture.

Graduates will be equipped to pursue Master's study in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Building Science.

The Graduate Diploma in Designed Environments (GDipDE) is a 120-point graduate qualification at Victoria University of Wellington. It lets students study a new area of designed environments, deepen previous study, prepare for a Master’s, or gain up-to-date industry knowledge. The GDipDE can be completed in two trimesters full-time or four trimesters part-time, involving undergraduate courses from 200 to 400 level, tailored to students’ background and goals. It offers pathways for graduates wishing to transition between architectural specialisations, and is a stepping stone to Master’s study. The course is open to students with relevant Bachelor’s degrees or equivalent professional experience.
