This one-year full-time certificate offers you a comprehensive introduction to beauty therapy, combining theoretical and practical learning. You will study a wide variety of beauty treatments and cosmetic services, including make-up, massage, nail and waxing services. The programme includes anatomy and physiology, an introduction to first aid, and professional practice within a modern clinic environment. Learners benefit from guest speakers, hands-on experience with real clients, and use of industry-standard booking systems. Optional International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) qualifications are available, enhancing international recognition. Graduates are eligible to register as New Zealand Beauty Therapists and pursue roles in beauty clinics, as cosmetic representatives, or as mobile beauty therapists.

Under 20: NCEA Level 2 (English and Science credits preferred) or New Zealand Certificate in Study and Employment Pathways (Level 3) or New Zealand Certificate in Makeup and Skin Care (Introduction) (Level 3), or equivalent.
Over 20: No minimum entry requirements.
English Language: Overall Academic IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0) or NZ University Entrance or acceptable alternative evidence.
