Provide basic client services and care suitable for a salon or clinic environment.
The Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy (Level 2) pathway develops students' foundational knowledge and practical abilities in hairdressing, beauty therapy, client service, and salon operations. The programme covers essential competencies—such as preparing hair, client care, assisting operators, and sustainability in salons—required by employers. Delivered over the school term as part of the Waikato Trades Academy, it enables students to gain skills that support career entry into the service and personal care industries.
