It will take a total of 2 years

Students will understand and apply the principles of how land is regulated and administered for land surveying in New Zealand.

Demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge of the land development process to obtain necessary consents and approvals.

Apply geodetic control surveying principles within a New Zealand survey practice context.
The New Zealand Diploma in Surveying (Level 6) provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to work as a land surveyor, including measuring and mapping land for engineering and construction projects. The programme is suitable for those already working in the industry wishing to formalise or upskill and supports flexible learning to accommodate work commitments. Graduates can pursue a variety of roles within the land surveying profession.
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 2 with at least 48 credits across four subjects, including a minimum of 12 credits in Mathematics (preferably in algebra, geometry and trigonometry)
8 credits at NCEA Level 2 in English (4 in reading, 4 in writing) or equivalent
