It will take a total of 19 weeks

Students will be able to confidently use basic construction hand tools for a range of tasks.

Students will perform practical tasks commonly encountered in construction environments.

Learners will gain a working knowledge of essential terms used in the construction industry.
The NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills (Construction) (Level 2) is a hands-on, project-based programme designed to prepare students for further study or a career in construction. The programme focuses on building essential practical skills, basic construction theory, safe work practices, and understanding construction plans and terminology. Graduates will be equipped for trade pre-apprentice programmes or entry-level construction roles.
