Develop skills to work effectively in a team and independently to refit or construct wooden vessels.

Acquire practical and theoretical knowledge in boatbuilding including tools, materials, technical skills and drawings.
This apprenticeship programme aims to provide the marine industry with people who have the knowledge and skills to work in a team, unsupervised, to refit or construct new vessels using wooden materials. It is suitable for those entering or already working in the boatbuilding sector, including vessel refit and construction. Modules include Workplace Health and Safety, teamwork, tools and equipment handling, technical skills, materials knowledge, calculations, sustainability, boatbuilding wood theory, and drawings.
