What You're Signing Up For
The OSTC Building and Construction (Level 3) course provides secondary school students with hands-on, practical experience in construction. Learners work as part of a team to build a house or building for Big River Homes, gaining skills in the use of tools, building materials, safety practices, documentation, teamwork, and more. The course covers a range of unit standards and is designed to pave pathways to further qualifications or an apprenticeship in the construction industry.

- Knowledge and selection of building materials
- Building site safety practices
- Project documentation for construction projects
- Measuring and calculating for building projects
