A hands-on apprenticeship-based programme for those working in the industry which enables students to become fully qualified carpenters through online and on-site learning.
Blended study
This is a mix of online learning & face-to-face sessions
It will take a total of 4 years

Develop hands-on experience in floor and wall framing, installation of plasterboard, and insulation materials under supervision in real workplaces.

Be able to apply levelling methods and set out residential buildings according to professional standards.

Learn to read and interpret construction drawings and prepare accurate quantity lists for building projects.
The New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) is designed for carpentry apprentices working in the building industry. Students learn through a combination of practical tutorials, evening classes, workshops, online assessments, and regular on-site visits from experienced tutors. The programme aims to provide both formal education and essential workplace experience needed to become a qualified carpenter.
