Learn and apply industry-standard safety procedures in construction and infrastructure environments, including specific practices for electrical, plumbing, and building activities.

Gain practical skills in core trade disciplines including building basic structures, elementary electrical work, and introductory plumbing/gasfitting components.

This programme introduces secondary school students to the construction and infrastructure industry, offering hands-on learning in building, electrical engineering, plumbing and gasfitting trades. Over one academic year, students gain practical skills, work on real projects, and achieve unit standards that count towards NCEA Level 1, 2 or 3, preparing them for further education or entry-level work in the construction sector.
