This one year, project-based diploma offers hands-on experience using camera, sound and editing equipment while exploring employment opportunities in film, TV, web, and non-broadcast media. Students learn to write scripts, produce, direct, and edit video and sound in team settings that reflect real-world screen production environments. The programme utilizes state-of-the-art digital cameras and non-linear editing systems used in the contemporary screen industry.

University Entrance (as defined by NZQA) OR evidence of capability to undertake and complete the programme (at discretion of Discipline Leader/Programme Coordinator).
Applicants over 20 years old may be considered based on experience and capability.

Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting

It will take a total of 1 year

Identify and explore career pathways in film, television, web, and non-broadcast media sectors.
All applicants must attend an interview.
Acceptable level of English language fluency (e.g., IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5, or NZ Certificate in English Language (Level 4)).
In-person study
