Gain proficiency in planning, shooting, and editing high definition video and sound using industry-standard equipment and software.

Work collaboratively in simulated industry environments to produce multimedia content from concept to completion.

This one year, project-based diploma offers hands-on experience using camera, sound and editing equipment while exploring employment opportunities in film, TV, web, and non-broadcast media. Students learn to write scripts, produce, direct, and edit video and sound in team settings that reflect real-world screen production environments. The programme utilizes state-of-the-art digital cameras and non-linear editing systems used in the contemporary screen industry.

University Entrance (as defined by NZQA) OR evidence of capability to undertake and complete the programme (at discretion of Discipline Leader/Programme Coordinator).
Applicants over 20 years old may be considered based on experience and capability.
