Gain foundational skills in digital design, photography, animation, web and interactive media creation for both print and screen applications.

Produce a portfolio of practical digital and creative work suitable for application to degree study such as the Bachelor of Design (Communication).
Develop practical digital media skills— from graphic design, digital illustration, web design, animation and photography to game design and 3D environments—through two available study pathways: Communication Design or Game Design. Produce a portfolio appropriate for degree study and learn how symbols and iwi Māori cultural identity inform design. This certificate will prepare you for junior roles in the digital creative sector or as a pathway into Otago Polytechnic's Bachelor of Design (Communication), Bachelor of Visual Arts, Bachelor of Architectural Studies, or New Zealand Diploma in Photography.
