The Master of Product Design at the University of Canterbury prepares students for innovation in dynamic markets by equipping them with advanced design, manufacturing, and business analysis skills. The programme offers practical and theoretical study, use of specialised on-campus facilities (including design studios, labs, workshops, 3D printers, and AR/VR spaces), and an original supervised research thesis. Students study the commercial lifecycle of products and may personalise the degree through electives, culminating in a specialist research project.
