In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting

It will take a total of 1 week
This course requires 35 hours per week

Demonstrate practical skills and knowledge for completing electrical work safely in accordance with regulations.

Understand and apply relevant EWRB electrical regulations for trade-related electrical work.

Complete required competency assessments and prepare for external EWRB examination (ASPEQ).
This competency-based training is approved by the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) and designed for registered plumbers and/or gasfitters who wish to carry out authorised electrical work, such as the installation of water heaters and servicing waste disposal units. The course covers formal training accredited by the EWRB, practical skill assessments, and instruction in safe working practices, including first aid and CPR. Upon completion of all assessments, candidates partially fulfil the EWRB registration requirements and will be eligible to sit the required examination with ASPEQ.
