Develop and implement strategic weed management plans suitable for conservation projects.

Select and use monitoring methods to detect, assess, and report on weed populations.
This short course provides an overview of the impact of weeds and weed management practices in conservation environments. Students will learn strategic planning and surveillance for managing weeds, a variety of monitoring techniques, and practical weed control methods. The programme includes both classroom learning and field activities, and covers safety analyses and preparation for effective weed management.
What you need to know first
Under 20 years: Achieved NCEA Level 2 (credits in Numeracy, Science or English desirable)
20 years or over: No minimum academic requirements
