It will take a total of 3 months

Identify and apply knowledge of sustainable environmental, conservation, and land-based management practices to activities in an agricultural or horticultural context.

Discuss sustainability principles specific to the Aotearoa, New Zealand context and reflect on personal practices.

This programme is designed to provide you with skills and knowledge to actively contribute to the environmental sustainability of agricultural or horticultural industries in New Zealand. Develop practical understanding of sustainability, conservation, land management, composting, native plant propagation, sustainable water use, and more. The qualification also lays a foundation for further advanced study in land-based sustainability.

Minimum age of 16 years
NCEA Level 2 (60 credits at Level 2 or above, plus 20 credits from any level, 10 Literacy credits at Level 1 or above, 10 Numeracy credits at Level 1 or above)
