This diploma prepares students to play a vital role in protecting and maintaining Aotearoa New Zealand's diverse outdoor environments and species. Building on prior Environmental Management studies, students develop expertise in terrestrial science, ecology, research, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability. The course is applied, with a strong research focus and opportunities for hands-on experience through field trips and industry collaborations. Graduates are well equipped for work in a wide range of environmental careers or to move into the third year of a relevant bachelor’s degree.
