Apply an understanding of animal behaviour and welfare principles to handle and restrain rural animal patients with minimal stress.

Utilise hygiene and infection control techniques to prepare, maintain, and clean rural animal healthcare environments.

Monitor the well-being of rural animal patients and provide necessary supportive care using knowledge of animal health.
This programme provides students with skills and knowledge to assist veterinarians in large animal and mixed practice clinics, specifically within rural environments. Graduates will develop the competencies needed for animal care, clinical assistance, emergency procedures, and effective practice in rural veterinary settings. Coursework includes both classroom learning and a substantial practicum component, preparing graduates for a wide range of support roles in the animal healthcare sector.
