Describe bee biology, identify the relationship between land, plants, and bees for successful beekeeping operations.

Identify regulations, safety equipment needs, materials for beehive inspection and construction, and comply with industry standards.

The New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3) - ONLINE equips students with the skills to work as an assistant beekeeper or progress in the apiculture industry. Delivered via distance learning, the course covers the safe operation and management of beehives, honey production and pollination, pest and disease management, and practical beekeeping operations. Graduates will be able to manage their own beehive, work in commercial beekeeping, or start a small apicultural business.

Ability to record and upload video evidence for assessment
Purchase required personal protective equipment and beekeeping tools (see course list)
