The UCOL Academy 2 Day New Zealand Certificate in Animal Care is designed for secondary school learners interested in caring for animals and planning a career in animal care facilities such as pet stores, animal rescue centres, pet groomers, boarding and training facilities, or animal recreation businesses. This Level 3 programme covers animal welfare laws, normal and abnormal health and behaviour, anatomy, nutrition, health procedures, and practical day-to-day care of companion animals. Completion prepares learners for further study and entry into the animal care sector.
