Use communication, negotiation, consultation and reporting strategies to facilitate positive staff relationships in hospitality management.

Analyze and apply financial management techniques to meet productivity, yield and profitability targets in hospitality operations.
This Level 6 diploma equips students with expertise in managing all aspects of a hospitality business, from frontline customer service and business strategies to sales, marketing, financial management, and law. Graduates develop operational, human resource, and entrepreneurship skills, allowing them to supervise staff and business processes across diverse hospitality sectors.
What you need to know first
Minimum age 18, with minimum four years secondary education and at least 48 NCEA credits at Level 2 or 36 credits at Level 3, or equivalent academic indicator.
Mature applicants (20+) accepted based on ability to succeed, by discretion of Head of Faculty.

Successful completion of New Zealand Diploma in Hospitality Management (Level 5) is also valid entry.
Applicants whose first language is not English must show English language competency, e.g. IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5 or equivalent.
