This course requires 2 hours per week

Develop skills in tasting and evaluating wine using professional sensory methods.

Identify and differentiate among New Zealand's common wine styles.

Understand how white, red, and sparkling wines are made and be able to explain these processes.
This short course allows participants to enhance their wine experience by learning from a wine professional. Students practice wine sensory techniques, learn to recognise specific NZ wine styles, and gain the ability to explain the basic concepts of how white, red, and sparkling wines are made. The course also covers recognition of common wine faults and builds confidence in discussing wine.
