It will take a total of 2 years
This course requires 10 hours per week

Utilise an advanced understanding of orchard or vineyard operations to carry out seasonal tasks and make informed decisions in the workplace.

Demonstrate skills in core fruit production or viticulture activities throughout the annual production cycle.

Use appropriate machinery and equipment required in fruit production with a strong safety focus.
This work-based certificate enables students to further develop their skills and knowledge in fruit production or viticulture while employed. The programme includes both theoretical and practical components, with learning supported online, through block courses at the Cromwell Campus, and in the student’s workplace. Graduates are prepared for advanced technical roles or supervisory positions in the horticulture industry.
