Develop the skills to initiate and maintain productive supervisor-supervisee relationships, including understanding contracting in supervision.

Learn and use structured models for supervision, including the key stages of a supervision session.
The Introduction to Supervision (health and social practice) course at Wintec is a 12-week, part-time Level 7 programme aimed at building foundational knowledge and practical skills in supervision. It covers the nature of supervision, supervisory relationships, contracting, and structured approaches to supervision sessions. The course prepares students to take on supervisory responsibilities in their professional health or social practice roles, with an emphasis on understanding both professional and organisational contexts of supervision.
What you need to know first
An undergraduate degree relevant to health or social practice, or equivalent qualification as assessed by the Team Manager.
For non-native English or Māori speakers: IELTS 7.0 in all bands or equivalent.
