It will take a total of 19 weeks

Graduate will be able to communicate independently in familiar, and some less familiar, areas of te ao Māori situations using te reo Māori.

Understand and apply knowledge of how te reo is connected to land, environment, places, people, histories, and stories.

Contribute to community and cultural roles including preparing marae for hui, being a kaiwaiata, and working in the marae kitchen and dining room.
This programme is designed for students looking to progress their te reo Māori skills to a level where they can communicate independently in a variety of situations relevant to te ao Māori. The course develops language abilities and cultural knowledge, connecting language to the land, environment, people, places, histories, and stories. Students also gain authentic, immersive experience through in-classroom and marae-based learning, preparing them for a broad range of community and cultural roles.
What you need to know first
NZ3045 Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Rumaki, Reo Rua) (Te Kaupae 3): NZ Certificate in Te Reo Māori (Level 3) or equivalent.
