Te Pikitanga ki Awarua | Bachelor of Arts (Māori) Honours is a one-year blended delivery programme (full-time or equivalent part-time) designed for advanced study of Māori language and society. Graduates develop in-depth knowledge of the historical foundations and contemporary issues of Māori society, research and communicate using te reo Māori as an academic medium, and are prepared for leadership, teaching, policy, and cultural advisory roles. The programme provides a pathway to higher research and further study.
What you need to know first
Minimum of B+ average in Year 3 of Te Whakangungutanga ki Ngā Tāiro a Kupe | Bachelor of Arts (Māori) OR
A bachelor's degree in relevant fields (arts, humanities, social sciences, languages, teaching, performing arts, creative arts) with a B or higher in the major subject and B+ equivalent in te reo Māori OR
