This 34 teaching week full-time programme at Level 5 provides comprehensive study in te reo Māori language including listening (Te Whakarongo), speaking (Te Kōrerorero), writing (Te Tuhituhi), reading (Te Pānui), and research (Te Rangahau). Focus areas include traditional and formal language use, Māori cultural practices such as waiata, whakataukī, karakia, and pūrākau. The programme aims to revive and strengthen Māori language skills from basic proficiency to an advanced fluent level.
