It will take a total of 17 weeks
This course requires 36 hours per week

Students will be able to understand the main points and key details in both spoken and written English on familiar topics.

Graduates will be able to speak with confidence about topics that are familiar to them.

Students will be able to produce written work on familiar topics that is easy to understand.
This nationally-recognised certificate is designed for speakers who have intermediate English and want to improve their language skills for study or work. Students will strengthen their English ability through work in small groups, interaction with native speakers, and study skills training, preparing them for future studies at Otago Polytechnic or other institutes, or for use in the workplace.
What you need to know first
New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 2) or equivalent.
Placement test conducted on arrival.
