Develop competency in fingerspelling signs and recognising signed letters in simple communication.

Learn about Deaf culture in New Zealand and appropriate ways to interact with Deaf individuals.
This course offers an introduction to New Zealand Sign Language, an official language of New Zealand. The programme is designed for those with no prior experience and focuses on developing basic skills, including greetings and the alphabet, to support simple conversations with members of the Deaf community.
