Apply advanced intermediate-level te reo Māori vocabulary and structure to accurately summarise and present familiar information orally and in writing.

Evaluate ideas and sustain points of view in te reo Māori in relevant iwi and community contexts, including some unfamiliar situations.
This part-time certificate programme is designed for those wishing to extend their Te Reo Māori to an advanced intermediate-level. You will deepen your knowledge of grammar, structure, and regional language differences, and develop the ability to communicate with increased fluency and flexibility in a wide range of settings. The course supports you to contribute to the development and preservation of te reo in everyday, community, workplace and academic contexts.
What you need to know first
Te Reo Rangatira at NCEA Level 2, OR Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Reo Rua) (Te Kaupae 3) or equivalent, OR oral interview with lecturer or Programme Leader
If English is not your first language: IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5 (or equivalent, including TOEFL)
