In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
It will take a total of 6 months

Use advanced-intermediate level te reo Māori to communicate confidently in a range of situations and contexts, both everyday and cultural.

Demonstrate a growing command of language structures and features appropriate to advanced-intermediate level.

Recognise and respect tikanga Māori, including the powhiri process, tribal affiliations, stories, sayings, and dialectal variations.
The New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Rumaki Reo Rua) (Level 4) helps learners communicate independently and confidently in a range of personal, community, and workplace contexts using te reo Māori. The programme builds on intermediate-level knowledge and focuses on advanced grammatical structures, features of the language, and applications of te ao Māori. It supports improving adult literacy and numeracy, and is delivered in English with all students taught to understand language structures and features.
