Confidently listen and respond in academic environments and participate in effective spoken communication, including presentations and discussions.

Read and analyse complex, context-specific texts; understand and process key information in academic and professional settings.
The New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Academic) (Level 5) enables students to use and understand complex English language for a wide range of academic, professional, and social situations. The programme develops advanced listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities, and equips students with the study skills needed for successful participation in independent and online learning environments. Graduates will be able to meet English language requirements for further study, including most postgraduate programmes in New Zealand.
