Use tools and equipment to complete basic workshop engineering tasks.

Apply fundamental automotive engineering knowledge to service engine, and driveline systems.
This Level 3 certificate equips students with the essential skills for entry into the automotive engineering sector. Learning takes place in modern, fully equipped vehicle workshops and covers engine and driveline systems, automotive electronics and air conditioning, as well as customer service and workshop procedures. The programme prepares graduates for apprenticeships and further training within the automotive industry.
What you need to know first
Be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences.
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level.
