Programme content covers advanced engineering tasks, fitting and machining, general engineering, fabrication, precision machining, hydraulics, welding, and maintenance for industry. On completion, graduates are well-prepared for skilled roles such as fitter, turner, or general engineer.

Perform and manage a range of workshop engineering tasks under various levels of supervision, demonstrating competency in both technical and operational aspects.

Plan and execute engineering projects and strand-based tasks, including managing quality assurance and operational requirements.
Candidates must be employed in the mechanical engineering (general engineering or fitting and machining) industry at the time of study
Three-way training agreement between candidate, employer, and UCOL
