It will take a total of 17 weeks

Locate, select, and analyse relevant information from a variety of sources and apply to context-relevant tasks and problems.

Work independently and collaboratively on context-relevant academic tasks and problems.

Construct a reasoned and researched argument, communicated using a range of appropriate media.
This programme helps students develop the academic and strategic thinking skills needed for success in diploma and degree-level Nursing and Health programmes. Learners will enhance their research, literacy, numeracy, and independent study skills, enabling them to become self-directed and strategic learners who are well equipped for tertiary health-related education.
What you need to know first
Be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level

Be physically able to complete the programme-specific outcomes
For non-native English speakers: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5, or international equivalence
AND ONE OF: 40 credits NCEA Level 2, including 10 Level 1 Literacy and 10 Level 1 Mathematics credits; or successful completion of NZ Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3); or demonstrated skills for tertiary study through prior study, work or life experience
