Students will integrate knowledge of Pacific communities, cultural practices, and nursing theory to enhance the health outcomes for Pacific peoples.

Develop and demonstrate effective interpersonal and professional communication skills, with cultural sensitivity in diverse care settings.

Demonstrate foundational and advanced nursing skills through hands-on experiences in clinical and community settings, totaling at least 1,100 hours.
The Bachelor of Nursing Pacific prepares students to integrate nursing knowledge with Pacific cultural practices to improve health outcomes for Pacific peoples. The programme combines classroom-based theory with extensive clinical placements, focusing on cultural competency, communication skills, and hands-on experience in community and hospital settings. Graduates are eligible for registration as a nurse in New Zealand and can pursue postgraduate study.
