- Performance 1A: Original musical works and arrangements, live performance skills, stage planning, technical riders, live sound mixing, health and safety.
- Composition and Technology 1A: Music technology equipment, composition techniques, audio effects, sampling, arranging music for film and advertising.
- Music Theory: Practical, written and aural music theory covering composers, chord construction and progression, harmonic analysis, dictation.
- Performance 1B: Advanced live performance, leadership, recording and evaluating live performances using multitrack recording.
- Composition and Technology 1B: Advanced music technology use, software and hardware effects, song analysis, recording and production techniques, remixing.
- Creative Industries: Marketing, business viability, management, communications, legal and safety requirements for events, financial management, goal setting.
- Professional Practice: Teaching and recording facilitation skills, lesson planning, communication, studio setup, organizing musicians, commercial song production, mastering techniques.
