This Level 2 programme is aimed at people wanting to re-engage with learning or gain fundamental skills for work and further study. It develops literacy, numeracy, computing, and personal skills, and includes practical and community activities. Students will explore career options, self-awareness, and participate in workshops and work placements. Part-time and full-time options are available.

- Essential Skills (Tuapapa): Communication and interpersonal skills, solving specified problems.
- Self (Rapu Ora): Cultural awareness, personal wellbeing, goal setting.
- Project (Rapu Mahi): Research skills for employment, career reflection.
- Active Learning 1 (Rapu Pukengataka 1): Self and others awareness, applying essential skills in a familiar context, working with diverse people.
- Orientation activities.
- Community work, volunteering, and/or practical learning.
- Investigation of career options.
- Workshops and off-site experiences.
