Develop relationships to support those with mental health and addiction issues, focussing on positive outcomes.
This apprenticeship programme enables participants to develop the skills, knowledge, and reflective practice required to work alongside people with mental health and addiction needs, as well as their families and whānau. The person-centred, critical thinking based learning pathway leads to a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) with a Mental Health and Addiction Support strand. Apprentices gain skills through workplace-based and online learning, supported by advisors, and build the capacity to foster hope, autonomy, and resilience for people accessing services.
