Gain skills to create, implement, and adapt exercise programmes for individual and group clients within a health and wellness framework.

Develop foundational knowledge in human anatomy and physiology relevant to exercise and fitness.

Learn to improve the lifestyles of individuals at risk of common health conditions through targeted exercise interventions.
This practically-based 17-week programme at Level 4 provides knowledge and skills for employment in the health and fitness industry or further study in sport, recreation and exercise science. The course focuses on designing, delivering and adapting exercise programmes, including for groups at risk of common health conditions. Graduates are recognized as personal trainers by the Register of Exercise Professionals and may find work in roles such as exercise consultant, community or team exercise instructor. The course covers core topics like anatomy, physiology, exercise technique, first aid, health and safety, business skills, and more.
