The Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) at AUT equips students with the knowledge and practical teaching experience needed to teach children aged 5–12 in primary or intermediate school settings. The programme features 24–25 weeks of practicum placements in various schools across Auckland, comprehensive study in curriculum and education theory, focus on te reo Māori and tikanga, as well as pathways for endorsement in Pacific education. Graduates are eligible to apply for provisional teacher registration and ready to begin a professional teaching career.
